Nitesh Chawla

Founding Director, Lucy Family Institute For Data And Society at University of Notre Dame

Nitesh Chawla is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in computer science and engineering. Currently serving as the Frank M. Freimann Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame since September 2004, Nitesh Chawla also holds several leadership positions, including Founding Director of the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society, Director of the Center for Network and Data Science, and Director of the Data Inference Analytics and Learning Lab (DIAL). Additionally, Nitesh Chawla is the founder of Aunalytics and serves as the ND-GAIN Index Lead for the Notre Dame Global Adaptation Index since April 2013. Prior to these roles, Nitesh Chawla was the Senior Risk Modeling Manager at Bank Commerce from August 2002 to September 2004. Nitesh Chawla earned a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Florida and a BE in Computer Science from the University of Pune.
