Emilio Alarcon

Emilio Alarcon began their work experience in 2005 as a student at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Emilio then joined the University of Ottawa in 2009 as a Postdoctoral Fellow, and later became a Research Associate from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they moved to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute as a Principal Investigator. In 2015, they returned to the University of Ottawa as an Assistant Professor and later became an Associate Professor in 2020.

Emilio Alarcon earned a BSc in Chemistry from Universidad de Santiago de Chile from 2000 to 2005. Emilio then pursued an MSc in Chemistry from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2005 to 2008. Following their MSc, they completed their education by obtaining a PhD in Chemistry from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2005 to 2009.
