Jess Fiedorowicz currently serves as the Senior Research Chair in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa and is the head and chief of the Department of Mental Health at The Ottawa Hospital. Since August 2020, Jess has held the title of Professor at The Ottawa Hospital and has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Psychosomatic Research since January 2018. Prior to current roles, Jess was an Associate Professor at the University of Iowa from July 2007 to August 2020, contributing to the Departments of Psychiatry, Epidemiology, and Internal Medicine. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Translational Biomedicine and a Graduate Certificate in Biostatistics from the University of Iowa, along with an M.D. with Honors in Research from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Educational background also includes degrees in Clinical Investigation and Psychology from the University of Iowa and Marquette University, respectively.
