E.M.P.C.S. Ekanayake

Dean, Faculty of Arts at University of Peradeniya

E.M.P.C.S. Ekanayake is the current Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Peradeniya. Prior to this, they served as a member of the Higher Education Reforms Commission for the government of Sri Lanka from 2008 to 2011. E.M.P.C.S. has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank Group and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. In 2009, they became a member of the University Council at the University of Peradeniya.

E.M.P.C.S. Ekanayake earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Education from the University of Peradeniya. E.M.P.C.S. then went on to earn a Master of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education Services from the same school. E.M.P.C.S. also holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Peradeniya, as well as a Bachelor of Arts - BA in General Arts from the same school.

E.M.P.C.S. Ekanayake works with M.D.M.L.D.K. Yatawara - Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, E.M.A.S.B. Ekanayake - Dean, Faculty of Management, and P. M. A. Samarakkody - Chief Medical Officer. Their manager is Gerald Peiris, Chancellor.
