Lindsay Gilchrist is an experienced undergraduate research assistant at the University of South Carolina (UofSC), focusing on stroke research and the development of new treatments for survivors, with two manuscripts currently under review. As a general member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a national pre-health honor society, Lindsay demonstrates a commitment to the field of medicine. Lindsay has also held leadership roles within the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, serving as Vice President of Recruitment and Membership and as Director of Fundraising, where significant contributions were made towards member recruitment and fundraising efforts for cancer education and awareness. Additionally, Lindsay volunteered at Hackensack Meridian Health, accumulating 170 hours of experience in both neurology and pediatric surgery. Lindsay completed education at UofSC from August 2019 to May 2023, and previously graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy in June 2019.
