Tom Thacker

Tom Thacker has extensive experience in management and consultancy roles across various sectors. Currently, Thacker serves as the Manager at Arthur Thacker Racing since April 2019, while also holding the position of Application Development Team Manager at the University of Southampton since December 2016, where responsibilities include mentoring and leading a team in developing enterprise-level student information systems. As an elected County Councillor for Hampshire County Council since June 2009, Thacker has also been active in the Hampshire Pension Fund Panel and Board. Previous roles include directorship at Whitchurch Silk Mill, positions at The AA as a Business Analyst and Process Architect, and leadership in database solutions at Aviva. Thacker began a career in IT consulting in the mid-1990s, having worked for companies such as Pilat Media and Financial Times Ltd., while holding a BA (Hons) in Japanese & Business Studies from The University of Sheffield.
