Mark Leather is an Associate Professor at Plymouth Marjon University and a Senior Lecturer at the University of St Mark & St John, where roles include Programme Area Lead and International Lead in the Faculty of Sport, Journalism & Creative Arts. Mark has experience as a Course Tutor for the MA Outdoor Learning and as a Senior Lecturer in Outdoor Adventure Education, in addition to serving as Programme Leader for the BA Outdoor Studies. Prior to this academic career, Mark held the position of Head of Science at Uffculme School from 1994 to 2003. Mark's educational background includes an EdD in Education from the University of Exeter, an MSc in Outdoor Education from The University of Edinburgh, and a BSc Hons in Science Education with QTS from the University of Exeter. Additionally, Mark contributed to the Institute for Outdoor Learning as a Committee Member and Trustee from 2005 to 2008 and is recognized as an Accredited Practitioner.
