Jennifer Davidson

Jennifer Davidson is a seasoned academic and practitioner in the field of child and youth care, currently serving as a Professor at the University of Strathclyde since June 2017 and as the Executive Director of the Institute for Inspiring Children's Futures, a collaborative initiative focused on supporting vulnerable children and young people. Davidson has held influential roles including Lead for the Global Working Group on SDG 16+ Justice for Children and a member of the Board of Governors for the International Child and Youth Care Network. Previous significant positions include Founding Director at CELCIS and Director of the Scottish Institute for Residential Child Care. Davidson's academic credentials include a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Rights Law from the University of Glasgow and a Master of Social Work with Honours from the University of British Columbia.
