Stuart McIntyre

Stuart McIntyre is an accomplished applied economist with extensive experience in academia and public policy. Currently serving as Associate Dean (Impact) and Head of Research at the Fraser of Allander Institute at Strathclyde Business School since December 2019, Stuart focuses on devolution and sub-national analysis and policy. Additionally, Stuart is a member of the Labour Market Advisory Board for the Department for Work and Pensions and serves as a Fellow at the Office for National Statistics, contributing to the Economic Experts Working Group. With a long-standing academic career at the University of Strathclyde, spanning various lecturer roles since April 2013, Stuart also acts as a Faculty Research Affiliate at West Virginia University's Regional Research Institute. Previous experience includes serving as Policy Adviser in the Scottish Parliament from August 2008 to December 2012. Stuart's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Strathclyde, an MSc from The University of Edinburgh, a BA (Hons) from the University of Strathclyde, and a PG Certificate in Advanced Academic Studies from the same institution.
