Jessica Marshall is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Warwick, focusing on the development and testing of shielding materials for nuclear fusion, specifically the synthesis and characterization of Tungsten Iron Borocarbides. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the University of Warwick, where Jessica investigated lead-free ferroelectric materials, and as an R&D Engineer at Sandvik, specializing in hard materials for cutting and metalworking applications. Jessica also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Warwick, conducting a successful feasibility study on liquid phase epitaxy for waveguide fabrication. Education includes a PhD and MSc from Cranfield University and a degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Durham. Jessica's academic foundation was built at Eastwood Comprehensive, where studies included Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
