Pouya Tehrani

Pouya Tehrani is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in machine learning and wireless systems. Currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Univision since June 2024, Tehrani previously held the position of Data Science Manager at Foursquare from 2021 to May 2024. Prior roles include Senior Machine Learning Engineer for Location Intelligence at Apple, and Senior Wireless Systems Engineer at Qualcomm, where work involved developing advanced algorithms for wireless technologies. Tehrani began a research career as a Research Assistant at UC Davis, focusing on reinforcement learning and decision theory, and also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at Cornell University. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
