Elia Marconi

Elia Marconi has extensive work experience in various sectors. They are currently serving as the Head of Policy and Compliance Monitoring (Operations) at UNRWA, where they are responsible for developing and implementing policies related to procurement, supply chain, property management, and general administration services. Prior to this role, Elia worked at UNOPS in various positions, including Head of Operations-Support Services and Finance Specialist, where they contributed to improving operational efficiency and financial management through policy recommendations and project implementation. They also worked as an Assistant Project Manager at Cristanini s.p.a and as an Analyst & Researcher at ITA - Italian Trade Agency. Elia's experience also includes roles at the United Nations, Al Habtoor Group, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, and Ministère chargé de l'Éducation nationale as Assistant Internal Auditor, Assistant Business Development Officer, and Teacher, respectively.

Elia Marconi began their education at Université Paris-Sorbonne in 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Business in 2011. In the same year, they also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. From 2011 to 2013, Elia Marconi attended Université Paris-Sorbonne again and received a Master's degree in International Trade.

In terms of additional certifications, Elia Marconi obtained the (ECDL) European Computer Driving Licence from Marco Polo Institute in June 2008. Later, in April 2012, they acquired a Quality Management System - ISO 9001:2008 certification from Austria Quality Plus. From there, Elia Marconi pursued several project management certifications, including Prince2 - Foundation and Prince2 - Practitioner, both obtained from APMG International in February and March 2016, respectively. Elia also obtained a Change Management Certification from APMG International in May 2021.

In terms of security training, Elia Marconi completed the B-SAFE - Security Training program offered by UNDSS in September 2016. Additionally, they acquired the S-SAFE - Safe & Secure Approaches in Field Environments certification from UNDSS in July 2022. Most recently, they obtained the CIPS 2 - Introductory Certificate in Public Procurement and CIPS 3 - Advanced Certificate in Public Procurement from CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply in January and February 2023, respectively.
