Marcos Egea-Cortines

Marcos Egea-Cortines is an accomplished academic and editor with extensive experience in biology. Currently serving as Director at Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena since October 2016, Egea-Cortines also contributes as an Associate Editor for Frontiers and the Public Library of Science (PLOS) since October 2020 and February 2018, respectively. In addition to a long-standing role as a Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena since 1999, Egea-Cortines has held visiting professorship at Purdue University and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at both MPIPZ - Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research and Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Egea-Cortines earned a PhD in Biology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and a Master's degree in Biology from Universidad de Murcia.
