About the position

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Food Service Channel Head to make a difference at Upfield in the strategically important region of the UAE & GCC Markets. This region has been outperforming year on year and this growth needs to accelerate further.

The role encompasses managing the distributor relationship and sales team effectively to deliver the sales targets set.  The responsibility is broad as you will be required to manage multiple key account relationships within the channel to further develop our brands.  This role will report directly to the Head of Sales MENA and have regular exposure to the senior management team, it is therefore critical you communicate effectively, be confident, and own your business performance.

 

So what does it take to be successful in this role?

 

  1. Full P&L Responsibility: Hold accountability for the profit and loss statement, overseeing all financial aspects of the Food Service Sales operations in the region.

  2. Management of Sales Team: Directly manage the Food Service Sales Managers within Upfield, guiding their efforts in driving sales across various channels including Horeca, Wholesale, and E-commerce.

  3. Channel Management and Product Launches: Lead the management of all Food Service channels, collaborating closely with distributor sales teams to successfully introduce new Upfield products into the market.

  4. Key Account Focus and Contract Negotiation: Concentrate on key accounts, negotiating contracts and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) annually to ensure long-term partnerships and business growth.

  5. Sales Strategy Execution and Performance Review: Develop and execute sales plans utilizing various strategies such as promotions, incentives, and new product launches to achieve targets. Regularly review performance, forecast distributor sales accurately, and present insights to senior management during business reviews.
