Meri Vertanen

Meri Vertanen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in service design, collaboration services, and project management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Service Design at UPM since April 2016, Meri has been instrumental in leading service design initiatives related to digital workspace and employee experience, while also co-leading the UPM Intranet renewal project. Previously, Meri held various roles at UPM, including Senior Manager of Collaboration Services, where responsibilities included defining and executing the strategy for IT collaboration using the Microsoft 365 stack. Prior to UPM, Meri worked at Microsoft as a Business Program Manager, and held multiple roles at Nokia, contributing significantly to deployment projects across Europe. Meri's earlier career included positions at General Electric, Rauman Offsetpaino Oy, and KONE. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Business from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, alongside various professional development courses.
