Carrie Kirscht

Vice President, Finance at Upsher-Smith Laboratories

Carrie Kirscht has a diverse background with extensive experience in finance and accounting. Carrie began their career as an Adjunct Accounting Instructor at the Carlson School of Management in 1999. During this time, they gained valuable teaching experience in the field.

In 1993, Carrie joined Travelers and participated in their Finance/Accounting Rotation program, where they took on various roles, including Internal Audit, FP&A, and Financial Analysis. Carrie also played a leadership role in integrating the collection function of acquired companies.

In 2002, Carrie transitioned to The Hartford as a Senior Financial Analyst, where they continued to develop their financial analysis skills.

Carrie joined Target in 2006 and held several positions within the company. As a Manager in Healthcare Receivables, they led a team responsible for collecting Healthcare receivables and implementing processes and controls for billing and collection activities. Carrie also contributed to the launch of Target Clinics and played a crucial role in the vendor transition process.

Throughout their time at Target, Carrie took on increasingly senior roles, such as Group Manager in Accounting & Financial Analysis, Inventory and Group Manager in Financial Planning and Analysis, Marketing. In these positions, they led teams responsible for accurate and timely payment processing, inventory valuation, and budgeting and forecasting of marketing expenses.

Carrie's next career move took their to UnitedHealth Group in 2015, where they served as a Senior Director of Finance. In this role, they oversaw the financial operations for the Community & State division.

Most recently, Carrie joined Upsher-Smith in 2017 and has held various senior finance positions, including Director of Finance, Senior Director of Finance, and currently, Vice President of Finance. Carrie'sresponsibilities in these roles have included financial planning and analysis as well as overall financial management.

Throughout their extensive career, Carrie has consistently demonstrated strong financial and leadership skills, driving process improvements, reducing expenses, and successfully managing teams.

Carrie Kirscht pursued their education at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 1996 to 1999. During this time, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Management Information Systems (MIS). Additionally, Carrie holds an inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, but no further information regarding its institution or date of attainment is available.
