Michael Karlesky

VP, Software & Electronics at Upward Farms

Michael is responsible for leading Upward Farms’ initiatives across sensors, controls, I.T., software development, simulation, and analytics, supporting the company’s business objectives and its workforce.

Prior to joining Upward Farms, Michael worked in a variety of technology roles within startups, small businesses, and large enterprises. Over approximately 20 years, he has been a key contributor to projects spanning weather balloons, automotive electronics, color measurement devices, open source testing framework software, web development, and military research. He and a partner host a successful series of online courses for software testing.

Michael received his doctorate in Computer Science from New York University. Previously, he received a BSE in Engineering, Electrical Emphasis and a BS in Computer Science both from Grand Valley State University.
