Richard Quartermaine

Richard Quartermaine has a diverse work experience in the sustainability and property sectors. Richard is currently serving as the Head of Sustainability at Urban&Civic since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Hammerson as an Environmental Manager from November 2013 to February 2022. Richard also held the role of Sustainability Committee Chair at the British Property Federation from March 2018 to January 2022. Before that, they were a Project Director - Sustainability at Sweett Group from January 2007 to November 2013. Richard began their career as a Quantity Surveyor at Harris & Porter from January 1992 to February 1998.

Richard Quartermaine obtained a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from London South Bank University in 1997. In 2002, they received a Diploma in Property Investment from the Investment Property Forum. Richard later pursued a Master's degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development at De Montfort University from 2005 to 2006. In terms of additional certifications, Richard obtained the Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management from ILM in December 2020 and became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in December 1998.
