Lindiwe Rennert is a Senior Research Associate at the Urban Institute since April 2023 and a PhD Candidate in Regional and Urban Planning at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) since September 2020. Lindiwe has served as a Graduate Teaching Associate at LSE and has been featured on its Planning for Justice blog. Previous experience includes an adjunct professor role at the University of Pennsylvania, a worldbuilding design consultant at BAFTA-winning ZA/UM, a research associate at Liberation Ventures, and various planning positions within the City of Boston, Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates, and the Detroit Land Bank Authority. Lindiwe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University, a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from MIT, and is pursuing a PhD at LSE.
