Venkata Ramesh Dasari

Venkata Ramesh Dasari is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Biology at Ursinus College since August 2024, following a diverse career in scientific research and academia. Previous roles include Principal Scientist and Scientist at Visikol, where Venkata Ramesh Dasari focused on the design and development of in vitro and ex vivo assays, cell culture models, and drug screening from November 2020 to August 2022. As a Staff Scientist at Geisinger from April 2015 to October 2019, Venkata Ramesh Dasari investigated single and combination drug treatments for endometrial and ovarian cancers, developing spheroids and organoids in the process. Earlier positions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria involved research on mesenchymal stem cell therapy for spinal cord injury and glioblastoma, first as a Research Assistant Professor and then as a Research Scientist. Venkata Ramesh Dasari began academic training as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in the purification and characterization of cytochrome P450 enzymes. Venkata Ramesh Dasari earned a Ph.D. in Biology from Andhra University.
