Marcel Petrutiu has diverse work experience spanning several industries. Marcel started their career at Revidas Consulting as a Project Consultant, where they provided guidance to Italian investors on establishing businesses in Romania and wrote applications for European Union financial grants. Marcel then joined Dynamic Tools as part of their marketing and sales team. Following this, Marcel became a Partner at Executive Travel (Xtravel), where they held a leadership position for six years. In 2009, Marcel took on roles at Madison Development Corporation as a Venture Debt Fund Analyst and at the Wisconsin Venture Capital Network DFI State of Wisconsin as a Research Analyst Intern. Marcel'sresponsibilities included financial analysis, due diligence, and conducting research projects on venture capital investments. Marcel later joined MOFA Global as Corporate Development Director, overseeing their corporate development activities for seven years. Currently, Marcel serves as the Director of Global Business Development at URUS Group, leading their global development team and managing various aspects of corporate development including mergers, partnerships, and technology licensing.

Marcel Petrutiu holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wisconsin School of Business, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2000, they attended the Academia de Studii Economice din București, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, and International Tourism. During their high school years, between 1991 and 1995, Marcel studied at Liviu Rebreanu, focusing on Mathematics and Physics. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Introduction to Genomic Technologies from Coursera, although the month and year of completion are not specified.
