Kory Wait

Kory Wait is a Physical Scientist and ORISE Postdoc at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since September 2022, focusing on the Safe Drinking Water Act and Lead and Copper Rule Revisions within the Regulatory Assessment and Development Branch. Prior to this role, Kory served as a Graduate Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2017 to September 2022, and gained experience as an EPA Research Operations Staff Program Assistant at ORAU from May 2015 to July 2017. Early career experiences include internships in chemical engineering at Donaldson and Swift Enterprises, as well as a manufacturing engineering internship at Cummins Inc. Kory holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and an MS in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Virginia Tech, along with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
