Mackensy Lunsford is a seasoned food and culture storyteller/editor currently working at USA TODAY as part of the Southern Kitchen team since July 2021. Prior to this role, Mackensy served as a staff food writer and reporter at the Asheville Citizen-Times from July 2012 to July 2021 and contributed to various online and print publications from 2005 to July 2021. Mackensy also held the position of food writer at Mountain Xpress from March 2005 to July 2012, focusing on delivering food news to the Asheville area.
