Gilbert Gitiche

Gilbert Gitiche is the EVP, Chief Audit Officer at USAA. Prior to taking on this role, they served as Chief Audit Executive at Freddie Mac from September 2018 to August 2020. Gilbert has also served as SVP/ Audit Director - Head of North America Global Markets Audit at Bank of America from January 2015 to December 2018, and Managing Director – Head of Enterprise Risk Management/ Capital Planning at GE Capital Internal Audit from January 2014 to December 2015. Gilbert's experience also extends to American Express, where they served as Head of Audit - Global Risk Management, Latin America & Canada from January 2009 to December 2014. Gilbert Gitiche began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in January 2000, where they worked in Assurance & Advisory Services for 9 years before moving on to American Express.

Gilbert Gitiche has a Master of Science in Risk Management from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Nairobi.

Their manager is Wayne Peacock, President & CEO. They are on a team with Bob Johnson - EVP, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, Jeff Wallace - CFO, and Neeraj Singh - Chief Risk Officer.
