Barbara Wanner

Vice President, Digital Policy at USCIB

Barbara Wanner has worked in a variety of roles in the international business and trade sector since 1985. Barbara began their career as a Government Relations Manager for Matsushita Electric Corporation of America in 1985. In 1988, they moved to the Japan Economic Institute as a Senior Political Analyst and Director of Outreach. In 2000, they became Deputy Director for Policy at the International Electronics Manufacturers and Consumers of America (IEMCA). From 2002 to 2004, they were President of Women in International Trade. During this time, they were also President of the CWT Education Fund from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, they joined the U.S. Asia Pacific Council, East-West Center as Senior Projects Coordinator. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Board Member of the WIIT Trust. Barbara was also President of Wanner International, LLC from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they became Vice President of ICT Policy at the US Council for International Business (USCIB) and Director of the Global Services Summit at the Coalition of Service Industries.

Barbara Wanner received their B.A. in International Relations from Bucknell University in 1976 and their M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University in 1978.
