Britney N. Washington

Britney N. Washington serves as a Patent Examiner at USPTO since June 2024. Over several years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Britney held multiple roles, including Graduate Teaching Assistant for courses such as BME 330 Engineering Principles and BME 430 Biomaterials, and Graduate Research Assistant in Randolph Ashton's Stem Cell Bioprocessing Lab. Additional experience includes facilitating programs for Urban Triage, Inc. and the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce, as well as being an NSF Engineering Research Center for Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT) Graduate Trainee. Previous internships include a Biotechnology Graduate Trainee at the National Institutes of Health and a Global R&D Engineering Co-Op at Kimberly-Clark. Britney holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Science in the same field, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
