Rogelio Mendoza

Rogelio Mendoza is a dedicated leader and engineer currently serving as the President of SHPE UT Austin since May 2022, where significant accomplishments include overseeing a 14-member committee to host a regional conference and initiating a DEI student board. As a member-at-large in the Student Engineering Council, Rogelio innovatively organized virtual events to engage engineering students. Experience as a Squad Leader for The Gates Scholarship involved mentoring and guiding new scholars. Previously, Rogelio held engineering positions at Toyota North America and ExxonMobil, honing technical and project management skills. An active contributor to the university community, Rogelio also served as an Engineering Ambassador, promoting the Cockrell School of Engineering. Rogelio Mendoza is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
