Marcus North Aait

Marcus North has an extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Marcus has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1997, Marcus worked as an Information Technology Administrator at Time Warner Communications. Marcus was responsible for maintaining and managing a large number of computer systems within the company.

In 2002, Marcus joined TEKsystems as a Contract Systems Admin. Their duties included setting up and configuring computer systems at a naval base. Marcus also performed inventory management and quality assurance checks on each unit.

From 2006 to 2011, Marcus worked as a Systems Administrator at the Law Offices of Johnson & Brown. Marcus was responsible for managing the off-site systems and ensuring their smooth operation.

In 2006, Marcus joined the Memphis Area Transit Authority as a Sr. Systems Administrator & Webmaster. Marcus provided support for a large number of Windows desktops and servers, as well as managing the organization's email system and phone system.

In 2014, Marcus became the Manager of Operations & Information Technology at SENTRYNET OF TENNESSEE, LLC. Marcus was responsible for managing the company's IT infrastructure and technologies, as well as providing customer service and ensuring compliance with regulations.

From 2016 to 2018, Marcus worked as a Systems Analyst IV at International Paper. Marcus was responsible for technical application hosting and providing support for the organization's systems.

In 2017, Marcus joined Capital Metro as an Application Administrator. Marcus played a key role in system configuration, troubleshooting, and providing technical support on projects.

From 2019 to 2023, Marcus worked at Sysco as a Technology Team Lead in Information Security Administration/Identity Access Management. Marcus led a team and was responsible for managing the organization's information security systems.

In 2023, Marcus joined UT Health San Antonio as a Sr. Systems Engineer - Lead. Marcus assumed a leadership role and provided expertise in system engineering.

Throughout their career, Marcus has demonstrated their skills and expertise in various aspects of information technology, including system administration, application engineering, and information security.

Marcus North has a comprehensive education history in the field of Information Technology and Management Information Systems. Marcus earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Marcus then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Networking and Telecommunications from the same institution between 2009 and 2011. In 2012, Marcus obtained their Master of Information Systems degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. Marcus furthered their education at Capella University, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Information Technology degree in Management Information Systems, with an expected completion date in 2022. Marcus has also acquired several certifications in specific programming languages and platforms such as eKtron, DreamWeaver, Adobe Flash, and HTML from respected institutions like Ektron and New Horizons Computer Learning Centers.
