Joseph P. Ward

Joseph Ward serves as the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Utah State University since July 2016. Prior to this role, Joseph held various positions at the University of Mississippi from August 1996 to July 2016, including Chair of the Department of History, overseeing a significant faculty and staff team. Joseph's academic career began at Wayne State University as an Assistant Professor from August 1992 to July 1998, with a brief stint as a Visiting Instructor at UC Davis in 1992. Joseph earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in History from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Chicago.
