Velia Carboni

Velia Carboni is the EVP & Chief Digital and Technology Officer at VF Corporation. Velia has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on mobile technology and digital strategy.

Prior to joining VF Corporation, Velia served as the Senior Vice President, Mobile Channel for Personal Investing at Fidelity Investments. In this role, they were responsible for providing strategic direction for the company's mobile app initiatives, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, and emerging platforms. Velia also led the company's first machine-based learning personalization engine on the mobile platform, which utilized predictive analytics to serve content in a very individualized way.

Under Velia's leadership, the team at Fidelity was able to streamline their execution roadmap to a monthly release schedule, which allowed them to deliver value to customers more quickly. Velia also spearheaded the company's first digital natural language processing (NLP) project, which enabled customers to perform tasks using voice commands. In addition to their work within Fidelity, Velia was also a spokesperson for the firm as an mobile industry expert, and they were regularly cited in publications and panel discussions.

Before joining Fidelity Investments, Velia worked at VF Corporation and First Horizon Bank. Velia has a passion for helping businesses create customer-centric experiences that are both scalable and innovative.

Velia Carboni has a MBA in Marketing/Finance from Boston University and a BS in International Business/Finance with a Minor in Sociology from Northeastern University.

Velia Carboni reports to Steve Rendle, Chairman, CEO & President. They work with Matt Puckett - EVP, CFO, Jenn Sim - EVP, General Counsel & Secretary, and Martino Scabbia Guerrini - EVP & President, EMEA.
