Daniel Miller

Research Pathologist at Valar Labs

Daniel Miller has a diverse work experience in the field of pathology. Daniel began their career at AmeriCorps in 2004 as a Member before joining Washington University School of Medicine in 2006 as a Research Technician, where they studied the structural basis of ligand-receptor interaction. In 2007, they became an MD/PhD Student at the University of Missouri, completing their role in 2016. Daniel then worked as a Resident Physician in Anatomic Pathology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they also served as a Clinical Fellow in Cytopathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, Daniel joined Saint Louis University as an Assistant Professor of Pathology. Daniel also worked as a Research Fellow and Research Fellow in Pathology Informatics at Johns Hopkins Medicine before joining Valar Labs in 2023 as a Research Pathologist. Throughout their career, Daniel has been involved in various research projects, including microRNA profiling in HPV+ oropharyngeal cancer and the study of receptor-ligand interactions.

Daniel Miller received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Peace and Justice Studies from Regis University in the years 1998 to 2002. Daniel then pursued further education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Biology and Pathology at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, where they studied from 2007 to 2016.
