Andrew Lazo

Andrew Lazo, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Andrew currently serves as the Sr Director, Head of HR Business Partnering for Technology & Therapeutics at Valo since April 2022. Previously, they held the position of Director, HR Business Partner for the Chief Information Officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from 2021 to 2022.

Before that, Andrew worked at Cognizant as an Associate Director HR Business Partner for Artificial Intelligence from 2019 to 2021. Andrew also gained experience as a Global HR Business Partner for the CFO Org at Dell Technologies from 2017 to 2019, and as a Sr Manager, HR Business Partner for the Chief Technology Officer at Thomson Reuters from 2015 to 2017.

Additionally, Andrew has a background in education, having served as an Adjunct Faculty for Sociology at American Public University, where they taught 28 courses from November 2013 to October 2016.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked as an HR Business Partner at Swiss Re from September 2012 to November 2015, and as a Human Resources Consultant at Optimum Life Reinsurance (United States) from March 2009 to September 2012. Andrew began their professional journey as a Field Human Resources Manager at Target from 2006 to 2009.

Andrew Lazo, PHR, SHRM-CP completed a Master of Arts degree in Sociology at New Mexico State University. Andrew also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from The University of Texas-Pan American. Additionally, Andrew holds multiple certifications including the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI, the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM, and various LinkedIn certifications such as "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers", "HR as a Business Partner", "Human Resources: Strategic Workforce Planning", and "Strategic Human Resources". Andrew also received the MPO Analyst (Behaviorial MBTI Certification) from Ngenio and the ADP Pay eXpert® certification from ADP.
