Lucas Daoust

Lucas joined Vancouver Public Library in April 2021. He manages the day-to-day operational services of the Human Resources Department, which includes overseeing a team of Human Resources Consultants and an administrative team who provide human resources expertise and services in labour relations, recruitment, staff training and development, collective agreement administration, compensation and benefits, and payroll. Before joining VPL, Lucas worked as the Manager, Employee Services with the City of Abbotsford. Prior to this, he served in HR Advisory roles within the municipal government, health care, and the mining sectors. Lucas has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Thompson Rivers University and is currently enrolled in Queen’s University’s Masters of Industrial Relations program.
