Oddgeir Dalane

Oddgeir Dalane has a diverse work experience in the energy sector. Oddgeir is currently the VP Project Excellence at Vår Energi since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Equinor, where they held various roles including Facilities Manager for Trollvind, Manager Technology Management - Integrity and Lifetime extension, and Chief Engineer for Platform Technology. Oddgeir joined Equinor in March 2019 and worked there until April 2023. Before joining Equinor, they worked at Statoil, where they served as Leading Advisor for Marine Concepts, Hydrodynamics, and Mooring, Principal Engineer, and Senior Engineer. Oddgeir was with Statoil from 2010 to 2019. Oddgeir also has experience working as a PhD student at NTNU from 2007 to 2010. Overall, Oddgeir Dalane has extensive experience in project management, technology management, engineering, and research.

Oddgeir Dalane completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between the years 2002 and 2007. Oddgeir later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Arctic Marine Technology from the same institution, completing it from 2007 to 2010.
