Jarrett Farnitano

Jarrett Farnitano has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aerospace and technology industries. Jarrett recently served as the Lead Principal Software Engineer at Varda Space Industries, starting in December 2023. Prior to that, they worked at SpaceX as a Senior Flight Software Engineer from August 2020 to December 2022. Jarrett also held the position of Avionics Software Engineer, Navigation at BLUE ORIGIN from October 2018 to July 2020. Before entering the aerospace sector, they worked at Amazon Web Services as a Senior Systems Development Engineer and Systems Development Engineer from December 2015 to October 2018. Jarrett began their career at Yahoo! as an Operations Center (NOC) Engineer, then progressed to the role of Operations Center (NOC) Supervisor, and subsequently became a Production Engineer. Jarrett also gained valuable experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Applied Visions, Inc., and as a Systems Development Intern at the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Jarrett Farnitano earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer & Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they attended from 2006 to 2010.
