Chris Barrows

Head of Product Management at Vareto

Chris Barrows is the current head of product management at Vareto. Prior to this, they were the director of product management at Expedia Group from September 2020 to September 2021. Chris also served as the loyalty platform lead during their time there. Before Expedia Group, Barrows was the director of product management at Smartsheet from June 2017 to September 2020, where they were responsible for the analytics and visualization pillar. From September 2014 to December 2014, they worked as a senior product manager at Amazon, and was responsible for the mobile ads network product management, go to market strategy and execution, and product development. Barrows then moved on to Starbucks, where they served as a senior brand manager from December 2014 to June 2017, and was responsible for the branded solutions B2B category team and food service. Chris also served as a brand manager at Starbucks from July 2012 to September 2014. Prior to Starbucks, Barrows worked as a product manager at Microsoft from July 2011 to July 2012. Chris began their career as a consultant at Loft9 Consulting from March 2010 to July 2011, before becoming a product marketing manager at Evri from October 2008 to March 2010.

Chris Barrow has a MBA in Marketing from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business and a BA in Political Communication from the University of Washington.

They work with Jeff Yarnell - Director of Data Platform, Nathan Harkenrider - VP, Engineering, and William (BJ) Ebert - Head of Customer Success. Chris Barrows reports to Kat Orekhova, Co-Founder & CEO.
