Loren Young

ABC Production Manager at Varex Imaging

Loren Young has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Loren started their career as a Capstone Project Team Member at Brigham Young University, where they developed a quality control system for Nothum Food Processing Systems. Loren then worked as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Larsen Farms, supervising projects and implementing cost-saving measures.

Young also worked at Zelkova as a Crew Supervisor, where they directed a team in landscape construction and maintenance. At Brigham Young University Bookstore, they served as a System Administrator, overseeing software and hardware support for employees and ensuring the completion of accounting reports.

Moving into the engineering field, Young joined MOXTEK as a Mechanical Engineer, designing mechanical packages for X-ray technologies and developing manufacturing fixtures and machinery. Loren later worked at Parker Hannifin as a Manufacturing Engineer, coordinating manufacturing costs and methods for new products in multiple markets and managing on-time launches for new products.

Young then transitioned to Flexan as a Project Manager, where they set up a contract manufacturing line for a medical device and conducted IQ/OQ/PQ validations. Loren currently holds the position of ABC Production Manager at Varex Imaging Corporation.

Loren Young completed high school at Brookville High School from 1993 to 1997, earning a HS Diploma with a focus on Math and Science. Following this, Loren attended Brigham Young University from 1997 to 2003. During this time, Loren pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technologies.
