Dr. Brandie Buford

Dr. Brandie Buford has a diverse range of work experience. Dr. Brandie started their career as a Reading and Writing Teacher at Aldine ISD in 2006. Dr. Brandie then worked at Houston ISD as a Curriculum Instruction and Assessment Specialist from 2012 to 2014. After that, they served as a Data Analyst at Fort Bend ISD from 2014 to 2015. Dr. Buford then became an Assistant Professor of Literacy at Texas Southern University from 2015 to 2016. Dr. Brandie subsequently worked as a Mentor at Fort Bend ISD from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Assessment and Accountability and District Coordinator of School Improvement at The Varnett Public School, a position they have held since 2018. Additionally, they have also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake since 2019.
