Liesl Lohlun

Liesl Lohlun has over 17 years of work experience in data analytics and business intelligence. Liesl is currently the Head of Data and Analytics at VAT IT since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a BI Data Architect at Woolworths starting from May 2021. From January 2019 to December 2019, Liesl served as the Group Head of Analytics at Tsebo Solutions Group. Liesl also held the position of VP: Head of Customer Analytics for RBB at Barclays from October 2015 to December 2018. Liesl's earlier experiences include working as a Manager at Deloitte, Senior BI Systems Analyst/Programmer at Netcare, and Senior Business Intelligence Consultant at iSolve. Liesl began their career as a Developer at Global Trader and later worked as a Business Analyst and Reporting Specialist at Infomet. Throughout their career, Liesl has demonstrated expertise in data analysis, strategy formulation, database design, ETL, cube creation, and report building.

Liesl Lohlun's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, which was completed in 2013. In 2010, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts with a focus on Digital Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand. In 2004, Liesl earned a BSc (Honours) degree in Information Technology from the University of Cape Town. Prior to that, they completed a BSc degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand between 2000 and 2003.
