Sam Beaton

Sam Beaton is a Senior Renewable Heat Engineer at Natural Power, specializing in technical and economic assessments of renewable heat technologies for various commercial and industrial clients since November 2021. Previously, as an Energy & Projects Engineer at Synergie Environ Ltd from September 2019 to November 2021, Sam led low and no carbon projects from feasibility through to commissioning and developed investment-grade business cases for low carbon opportunities. Earlier experience includes a role as a Maintenance Development Engineer at The HEINEKEN Company, where Sam contributed to maintenance excellence initiatives and worked on energy and operations improvement projects. Sam also completed a Pre-Operations Summer Placement with Dana Petroleum Limited, gaining hands-on experience in the Western Isles Development Project and participating in a safety leadership seminar. Sam holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, obtained in 2017.
