Christian Hertlein

Christian Hertlein is currently the Director of Product Design and Brand at Vay. Prior to this, they were a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam from April 2018 to September 2018. Christian has also been the Head Of Design at N26 Group from May 2017 to July 2020, where they were responsible for leading global design, bridging brand design, product design and user research. Christian has also worked as an Examiner at Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design from December 2015 to December 2015, and as a Senior Lead Designer at IDEO from January 2012 to April 2017. Prior to that, they were a Product Designer at T-Labs, Telekom Innovation Laboratories from December 2010 to December 2011, and at IXDS from December 2008 to November 2010.

Christian Hertlein has a Bachelor of Arts in Interface Design from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. Christian also has a Master in Interaction Design from Malmö University, where they did a term abroad during their Bachelor study. Christian is a certified Media designer for digital and print media from New Roses Corporate Communications.

Christian Hertlein reports to Thomas von der Ohe, CEO & co-Founder. Christian Hertlein works with Friederike Reuter - Chief of Staff, Head of Strategy, Daniel Buchmueller - SVP, Engineering, and Bogdan Djukic - Co-Founder, Software.
