Jeffrey Belz has worked in the engineering field since 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they were an Engineer and Electrical Engineer at Intrepid Control Systems. From 2001 to 2004, they were an Electrical Engineer at General Dynamic Land Systems, where they designed and maintained a system integration bench and provided software downloads and interface support to the recreation testing group. From 2004 to 2013, they were a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Masco Corporation, where they designed new electronic products and researched new sensing technologies. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Sr. Embedded Engineer and Principal Engineer at MAKS inc.

Jeffrey Belz attended Macomb Community College from 1997 to 2001, earning an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Jeffrey then attended Wayne State University from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians. Jeffrey also holds a Bachelor of Science in both Mechanical Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology from Wayne State University.
