Tao Xu

Tao Xu currently serves as Associate Director of Analytical Development at Vedanta Biosciences, Inc. since January 2022. Previously, Tao Xu held various positions at Joslin Diabetes Center, including Senior Scientist and Scientist II, and has also been a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard Medical School since March 2017. Expertise lies in microbiology and immunology, with a focus on gut microbe-host interactions, particularly in understanding how gut microbes regulate immune functions and their potential in preventing or treating autoimmune diseases. Educational credentials include a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma, a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Central South University.
