Riaan Kruger

Riaan Kruger has extensive work experience in the software development field. Riaan started their career at Nanoteq in 2005, where they served as a Senior Software Developer. In this role, they were responsible for software design and development, documentation, creating and executing test plans, and researching new technologies. Riaan also gained knowledge and skills in information security, network security, network programming, scripting, OO design, cryptography, and database design.

Later, Riaan became the Principal Software Developer at Nanoteq, where they took on additional responsibilities such as designing and architecting a secure layer 3 VPN product, researching new technologies and techniques to incorporate into the VPN product and development, and writing technical reports for clients and internal use. Riaan held this position until 2017.

In 2018, Riaan joined Vela as a Senior Software Engineer. Further details about their role and responsibilities at Vela are not provided.

Riaan Kruger attended the University of Johannesburg from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc. Honours) degree in Computer Science. Following their undergraduate studies, Riaan pursued further education at the same institution from 1995 to 1996, completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science with a dissertation in Information Security.
