Sammi Szeto

Sammi Szeto is an Opto-Mechanical Engineer at Vena Medical since May 2023, with extensive experience in research and development, project management, and engineering design. As R&D Director at I4 Competition, responsibilities include leading the development of competition themes and documentation, alongside judging high school competitions. Sammi is also a team member at UW BioMechatronics Club, focusing on prosthetic hand assembly, and previously served as a Human Factors Consultant at HumanSystems, utilizing data management and statistical analysis. Additional roles include STEAM Program Coach and Coordinator at LAUNCH Waterloo, supporting youth-focused programs, and experience in mechanical design and project management at SnapPea Design. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, complemented by an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Prince Andrew High School.
