Avron Olshewsky

Avron Olshewsky has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Avron has held positions in reputable companies such as Venatus, Nanobyte Technology Consultancy, Ninety Percent of Everything, REBO™, Rota, Knowledgemotion - boclips.com, NeuralM Ltd, Pollonize, and Tech Startup Capital Ltd.

At Venatus, Avron works as the Chief Technology Officer since 2023.

Prior to that, Avron worked as a Consultant CTO at Nanobyte Technology Consultancy from 2020 to 2023. Avron was responsible for developing real-time telemetry and diagnostic tools using embedded C and the 802.11 stack. Avron also led the start-up spin-off idea, building the architecture and hiring a team of around 20 people. Avron implemented management and engineering processes and successfully brought the product to market.

In their role as Chief Technology Officer (Innovation Labs) at Ninety Percent of Everything from 2019 to 2020, Avron worked on disrupting the Maritime industry. Avron managed a large team of 75+ engineers and played a vital role in the senior leadership team.

At Nanobyte Technology Consultancy, Avron served as the Chief Technology Officer in 2018, acting as a consultant CTO, technology adviser, and interim CTO for startups and small to medium-sized enterprises. Avron was dedicated to building innovative technology products and services and solving complex technology problems using modern technologies and methodologies.

As Interim CTO at Rota from 2018, Avron provided technical leadership and expertise.

Avron worked as the CTO at Knowledgemotion - boclips.com from 2015 to 2017. Avron stabilized the software platform and implemented a RESTful API architecture to meet the company's fast-paced business requirements.

At NeuralM Ltd, Avron held the position of CTO and Founding Partner from 2010 to 2016. Avron provided strategic consultancy focused on internet and mobile internet technologies to start-up ventures. Avron troubleshooted failed technology development, product-managed technology development, and acted as an interim CTO for various clients. Avron also advised clients on business, technology, and market entry strategy, along with expertise in Agile methodologies and processes.

Avron served as an Interim CTO at Pollonize in 2014.

At Tech Startup Capital Ltd, Avron was the CTO and Partner from 2012 to 2014. Avron played a crucial role in identifying viable technology business opportunities for investors and performed due diligence on technology investments.

Avron Olshewsky's education history begins with their high school education at Herzila High School, which they obtained a High School Diploma from in the years 1980 to 1990. Avron then attended Mossenson Middle School from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained a Middle School Diploma.

Moving onto their higher education, Avron attended the University of Cape Town from 1991 to 1995, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, specializing in Engineering and Computer Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, they joined the University of Cape Town again in 1996 and 1997 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications, with a focus on Digital Modulation.

In 2007 to 2008, Avron chose to further enhance their knowledge and skills by obtaining an MBA degree in Strategy from COPPEAD UFRJ.

In terms of additional certifications, Avron obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University in October 2020.
