Solutions Architect at Vendia

Li Dai has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2010, they started their career in the United States Air Force as an Aviation Electronics Specialist, maintaining A-10 aircrafts and performing honor guard duties. After their service, Li worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Fidelity Investments from 2018 to 2019. Subsequently, they joined White Ops as a Data Platform Engineer, responsible for data pipeline improvement and deployment. In 2020, Li became a Founder in Residence at Antler, followed by founding their own organization called ESFE in 2019, where they recruited members, mentored junior developers, and managed product development.

From 2021 to 2022, Li worked as a Technology Adviser at Growth Channel, providing advice on scaling, stability, and security, as well as revamping development and operational processes. They also had the role of Solutions Architect at Confluent, leading event streaming solutions for customers, building reusable artifacts, mentoring junior members, and matching individuals for mentorship programs. Currently, Li holds the position of Solutions Architect at Vendia, starting in 2022.

Throughout their career, Li has demonstrated a strong technical acumen, leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring and building conceptual products to benefit the community.

Li Dai's education history begins with their time at the Community College of the Air Force, where they obtained an associate's degree in Avionics Maintenance Technology/Technician from 2010 to 2014. Following this, Li Dai attended Queens College and earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Psychology from 2005 to 2015. They later pursued further education at Queens College and completed a master's degree in Computer Science from 2015 to 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Li Dai obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company, in August 2018. They also acquired various certifications in 2020, including the YC Startup School Certified Founder from Startup School Online, as well as the Advanced Product Management: Vision, Strategy & Metrics and Become A Product Manager certifications from Udemy. Additionally, Li Dai obtained the Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka certification in September 2020, and the Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka certification in August 2020.
