Job description

As a Compliance Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring the effective and compliant operation of renewable energy assets within the organisation. You will collaborate with various teams to support financial processes, compliance requirements, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

·       Support OPEX and budgeting processes, overseeing business-related PRs/POs, and managing invoices.

·       Support service contracts and ensure fulfillment of related warranties in collaboration with HSQE, Asset Management Team, Technical Services, and Asset Performance.

·       Maintain and update permits tracker, obligations register, and documental archive for each asset.

·       Support SPVs governance with monthly reporting on portfolio performance, engaging with local communities, landowners, and authorities, and coordinating with project partners for technical/financial reporting.

·       Prepare or support the creation of external and intercompany recharges based on existing commercial agreements.

·       Maintain a landowner register and prepare the landowner advance, minimum and variable year end payments. Liaise with the legal and finance team to meet the required T&C.

·       Support relationships with insurance brokers for claim assessment and follow-up.

·       Support PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) management, energy offtake, and revenue calculation activities.

·       Collaborate with the AFP&C structure to fulfill commercial asset management and accounting processes, including administrative tasks, invoicing, intercompany reconciliations, month-end and year-end journals, accruals, and cash collection.

·       Work in the creation and support of quarterly reports in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.

·       Support the local accounting advisor during year-end financial statement preparation.

·       Assist the audit firm during semi-annual and annual audit activities.

·       Control cash needs of the entities within scope.

Technical and Cross Competences 

·       Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the power industry and energy business.

·       Good knowledge of complex ERP, with prior experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365, highly valued.

·       Advanced IT skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office package.

·       Proper understanding of local accounting and financial rules and principles, beneficial IFRS.

·       Familiarity with general tax rules and knowledge of basic cash management considered a plus.

Travel to and from site across the region required but would be infrequent. Required to attend team/contractor meeting where required.
