Network Engineer

We are a global player in the field of renewable energies, which develops, designs, builds and manages plants that generate clean energy. 

This role sits in the digital transformation team and the person will collaborate with the IT governance of the network projects around Europe.

This is a person with proven experience in the design and delivery of complex IT solutions and in coordinating and monitoring external suppliers ensuring the delivery of high-performance, efficient, and resilient infrastructure services.

The successful candidate has good communication skills and feels confident in translating business requirements and objectives into the right technical solutions

Responsibilities:

• Perform defined processes and practices to manage systems, software, and networks to ensure consistent and reliable operation to meet the business needs

• Ensuring secure and stable server connectivity and testing network protocols.

• Creating internet domains and optimizing intranet performance.

• Testing data exchange and communication between computers, routers, modems, and servers.

• Installing, updating, and configuring end-user networking accessories.

• Monitoring server capacity and performance to keep up with demand in online traffic.

• Running diagnostic tests and performing repairs, as well as developing backup, archiving, and data retrieval procedures.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and/or respond to outages

• Manage, research, and resolve complex end-user escalation incidents

• Test and perform upgrades and patches to installed operating systems and software

• Maintain familiarity of recovery plans for every critical function

• Monitor, maintain, and execute automation processes and procedures

• Create and maintain system documentation of processes, procedures, plans, and configurations

• Keeping informed of developments in network technologies.

• Participation in the design of system architectures and the selection of technologies

• Further development of personal methodological and technical excellence

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.
• Certified CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco network professional preferred.
• A minimum of four years' experience as a network specialist.
• Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and servers (Physical / Virtual)
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to visit Plants locations.
• Fluent in Italian and English (B2),
