As a Warehouse & Logistics Senior Specialist based in Spain, your primary objective is to support the operations of the company, a large European and UK Independent Power Producer (“IPP”) in the renewables sector. This position is critical for ensuring efficient and effective storage and distribution of goods over multiple locations. We seek an individual with extensive and proven experience in logistics and warehouse management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the warehouse operations, including storage, inventory control, order fulfilment, and dispatch.
• Develop and implement timely logistics strategies adapted to the renewables sector's specific needs while optimising transportation costs.
• Collaborate with supply chain partners, suppliers, and internal departments to streamline operations and address logistics challenges.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations on logistics and warehouse operations, including a thorough understanding of legal requirements in Spain, the European Union, and the UK.
• Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the management.
• Utilise extensive experience to lead and drive operational excellence within the warehouse and logistics functions.
• Monitor and analyse warehouse performance and logistics metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Manage inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure seamless coordination with procurement, service area, and other operational departments to meet requirements effectively.
• Manage and optimise transportation means and routes, including coordination of shipments, customs clearance, and documentation for international transport.
• Oversee the maintenance and operation of stocked components, warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Develop cost-saving measures and propose efficiency through technological enhancements and procedural advancements.
• Manage the logistics and warehouse budget, ensuring efficient resource utilisation.

Qualifications:

• Extensive and proven experience in logistics and warehouse management across the renewables, energy, gas, industrial, or military sectors.
• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (desired).
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing complex logistics operations in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking capabilities (incl. preparation, delivery and reception of goods).
• Proficiency in logistics and warehouse management systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex logistics situations.
• Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English; additional languages would be advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of the legal requirements and regulations related to logistics and warehousing in Spain, the European Union, and the UK.
